Richard Dennis
Owners Corporation Manager and Licensed Real Estate Agent
Richard has a collective five years of hands-on experience in the Strata Management industry, with four of those being for Verticali. Across an extensive portfolio of buildings within Verticali, Richard has garnered sharp skills in building compliance, contractor reviews, project management, defect rectification and litigation. More challenging aspects of his role include satisfying the changing needs and demands of individual owners, which can frequently coincide with and undermine the objectives of the appointed Committee.
Prior to working in Strata, Richard spent seven years in the medical industry as an operating theatre technician in an intensely high-pressure environment, where he was required to demonstrate precision, understanding of specific medical procedures, adept communicative and people management skills, and a commitment to teamwork. These learnings seamlessly translated into the work required to efficiently manage large buildings, oversee committee meetings and liaise with a large number of owners with varying interests and demands at Verticali. Richard recently facilitated an entrance rectification project at Maple Apartments and is currently overseeing a significant façade alteration project at the Infinity Apartments.
Richard attended Latrobe University, completing a Bachelor of Arts (Major in Legal Studies). It was following the completion of his undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree when he uncovered an unshakeable affinity for property and a particular interest in Strata and community living. With the goal of establishing a career in Strata Management, Richard attended Deakin University and undertook a Bachelor of Property and Real Estate (Major in Finance) with Distinction. Driven to learn all that he can in the industry has seen Richard take on further study and has recently become a licensed Real Estate agent- recognised by the State of Victoria.
